Well what can I say. I`m feeling great and things are going pretty good.
We baptized Ismael and Fatima Saturday and it was awesome! There was a little bit of bumps in the road to his baptism but Ismael made it through. We had the baptism and like 6:00 in the afternoon and some of the members were already at the Church building at 5 for a baby shower so we took advantage of the time and everyone being there and had the baptism. It was really awesome. My comp baptized Fatima and I baptized Ismael. And when I baptized Ismael we started to leave the font, I left first but Ismael didn`t leave and he kinda looked back at the water. I asked him ¨What? Did you forget something?¨ and he told me ¨No, but I think that my foot left the water. Hey do you think we could do it again?¨ So I knocked on the viewing door because they had already closed it and they opened up and I asked them to ask the witnesses if his foot had left. They said no but I was like whatever, we`re doing it again. And so I baptized him again and did it a little more slower and it all went great. It`s interesting that Ismael asked me to do it again because throughout all of the teaching and lessons and visits, he`s always been the one kind of less involved if you could say it He has had a very rough life actually maybe rougher than the life of Darwin. But in the moment Ismael knew what he had to do. And he understood it, and he understood it so well that he actually asked me to do it again. I felt the spirit so strongly after that baptism. And it wasn`t a selfish kind of feeling, it was just a feeling of desire for the happiness of Ismael and Fatima. It was great. So yeah. Great baptism
and I`ve got the photo for you too.
Well now we`re on the search for new investigators, well, we`re always on the search for new investigators. We found a family and tomorrow we`re going to be stopping by to teach them.
Oh, so last week Darwin drank, and so now we`re trying to help him understand that he can still receive forgiveness, I can only imagine how he feels only after 3 weeks being baptized. But he didn`t come to church this week, his wife did, he didn`t.
And yes, I want to eat an Iguana, not because of the restaurant, no, because down here they`ve told us you can eat them. So I want to try it. Did I mention that I`ve tried sea turtle? Very delicious and very illegal. But delicious.
Porter is getting baptised? Man.... I feel old. Looking at the pictures I was like woah! Some of my niece's and nephews sure have changed! And I still have another 9 months. Well I`m about out of time. Hope that everything is good with everybody and have a great week!
