Baptisms in Merida - Elder Giles

I´m glad to hear that everything is going good for you guys. I´m doing great too. -we´ve been teaching like crazy and the work is really progressing here in Merida. We´ve had like 27 baptisms combined in this ward of 200 this year, it´s pretty crazy. This ward is huge! I´ve never really been in a big ward before, it´s pretty nice. Ánd we´ve been finding a lot of people too. We´ve been so busy now, we are hardñy ever finding time to take care of the house, today we did clean it and everything.

I´ve been talking to Jabez a little and I´m sure he´ll definitely have more time when he gets back to write me. Crazy how he got the bronze star.

So do you guys have any questions for me? Well, if not.... I´ve been praying better now. I was reading in the Liahona (Ensign) about prayer and it really helped. Actually, after the baptism of Alejandro and Wendy (in the photo) they left on his motorcycle for home. When they left I just got this kind of fear that something was going to happen to them on the way home. That fear didn´t leave until we got into the taxi to go home and I just said a silent little prayer. I kind of forgot about it, but like minutes after when I thought about Alejandro and Wendy, I didn´t feel any of fear, but just a feeling of peace and that I didn´t have anything to worry about. It was actually pretty incredible. Nothing did happen to them but i know I was just following the impressions of the spirit, and who knows, maybe nothing would´ve happened in the first place, but I followed what the spirit was telling me. I hope everyone has a good week and can feel and follow those tiny promptings that the spirit gives to us.

Love you all!! Elder Giles
